Forklift Truck Thorough Examination

MJB are certified to carry out the national forklift truck Thorough Examination procedure, which meets the requirements of two pieces of Health and Safety legislation: L0LER 98 and PUWER 98.

If you operate a fork lift truck, you have a legal obligation to ensure that it holds a valid Report of Thorough Examination. This applies whether you own, lease or hire the truck. The examination is like a car MOT, but much more rigorous. It is a legal requirement for every fork lift truck, including those that are just one year old.

Not having a valid report on your forklift trucks could lead to prosecution and invalidation of your insurance. Faulty equipment can be the cause of serious accidents.

MJB are an accrediated company of the Consolidated Fork Truck Services (CFTS) Ltd. The examination was developed co-operatively by the two leading bodies in the fork lift truck industry: the British Industrial Truck Association (BITA) and the Fork Lift Truck Association (FLTA) under the banner of CFTS.

After the examination your firm will receive a certificate of compliance and each forklift truck will show its Thorough Examination status.
